Dear Emmerich Properties Fund,
First, let me just say, thank you! Your recent support means you understand just how important it is to keep kids safe in and around water.
Splash into Safety was a free water safety program for children ages 5-14. The program is designed to teach children about being safe around various bodies of water. At the beginning of the event, each registered child received a free life jacket, paid in part by the Emmerich Properties Fund, and fitted by Safe Kids Wausau Area. Children then rotated through stations, taught by water safety experts, about topics such as CPR, life jacket safety, reach and throw assists and wading assists. The program was a hands-on in water event, so the children got plenty of time to practice the skills they had learned at each station.
From your generous contribution we were able to give out all of the lifejackets we purchased for free to every child that participated. All the parents and children that attended made it very clear how grateful they were for the lifejackets and their hopes that the event will be continued in the future.
At the end of the event we totaled up the number of lifejackets we gave out, and it came out to 93! We are just amazed at how well this event was attended and so grateful that we could provide 93 children with free lifejackets. That is 93 more children that will be safe in and around the water this summer.
We are so grateful for your support with this program. Attached are a few pictures from the event.
